  • 5 infrared thermometers (1 per student group)
  • White crew sock (1 per student)
  • Black crew sock (1 per student)
  • (Optional: 2 black crew socks per student if you wish students to wear socks as paws when they wear their headbands and “become bears.”)
  • Incandescent bulb in light (one for every 2-3 groups) if it is not warm enough outside
  • Bear headbands made during Kindergarten Unit Anchoring Phenomen; Habitat activity – teacher guide pg. 31
