Nature Revealed includes a teacher guide and cut-out images and puzzles to give Pre-K teachers and parents the planning tools, activities and resources to stimulate children's natural sense of wonder in nearby nature.

This Discover Nature School (DNS) program, Nature Revealed, is for preschool students. It includes engaging, hands-on outdoor learning that focuses on Missouri’s flora, fauna, and ecosystems. It encourages discovery and a child’s natural sense of wonder. It has already been correlated to both the Missouri Project Construct and the Missouri Early Learning Goals and is designed to work with teacher's needs provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

The Missouri Department of Conservation's Discover Nature Schools (DNS) program includes science units that utilize a student-centered and hands-on approach to learning about Missouri's ecosystems. This workshop will cover the Nature Revealed Instructional Unit for pre-school aged learners. The Nature Revealed unit introduces our young learners to the out of doors and is based on the Missouri Early Learning Goals and Project Construct frameworks.

This workshop will certify Early Childhood teachers in the Francis Howell School District in MDC's preschool unit, Nature Revealed.  Teacher guides and other resources will be provided for each classroom.  This is a private workshop for FHSD; contact Kim Cole for information and registration.

Join us to illuminate a few of the unique characteristics that make these creatures interesting.  In addition, we will explore collecting techniques, identification, habitats, and dilemmas facing these small and vital animals of Missouri. Take away hands-on and inquiry-based strategies and activities to incorporate the world of insects into your curriculum!

This is a private training for Nature Revealed.

This is a private workshop for the staff at St. Paul's Lutheran School.  The workshop will cover various ways they can incorporate the use of an outdoor classroom in their science curriculum and other subjects as well.

This is a private workshop to instruct the teaching staff how to identify the most common backyard birds that you would find at a feeder. This skill will be used in conjunction with their outdoor classroom.

Flying WILD has many disciplinary activities. You will learn how to use these hands-on activities to include classroom or non-formal teaching.

Calling all homeschoolers! Now is your chance to receive training for Nature Revealed, MDC's curriculum for pre-K educators. This free workshop will provide an opportunity to experience hands-on activities from the curriculum and learn how each developmentally appropriate lesson is correlated to the Missouri Early Learning Goals and Project Construct. This engaging curriculum encourages discovery and a child’s natural sense of wonder while focusing on Missouri flora, fauna and ecosystems.
