Nature Revealed

The Missouri Department of Conservation's Discover Nature Schools (DNS) program includes science units that utilize a student-centered and hands-on approach to learning about Missouri's ecosystems. This workshop will cover the Nature Revealed Instructional Unit for pre-school aged learners. The Nature Revealed unit introduces our young learners to the out of doors and is based on the Missouri Early Learning Goals and Project Construct frameworks. During this training, educators will become familiar with the Nature Revealed curriculum guide as well as utilizing the use of a science notebook (nature journal). By experiencing some of the activities and discussing outdoor learning, educators will become more comfortable and prepared to teach the activities within the unit.

All materials will be provided during the workshop and participants are asked to dress appropriately for spending time outside.
