DNS Nature Unleashed Hybrid - Virtual Portion
Nature Unleashed is the grade 3-5 level ecology unit in the Discover Nature Schools (DNS) series from the Missouri Department of Conservation. Emphasis of this unit is on student-centered and collaborative investigations of ecosystem components, cycles of matter and energy transfer, interdependent relationships, and human impacts.
We will investigate Missouri's fishless pond life, a pollinator's safari, birds in the canopy and our community's wild mammals - all using the DNS activities. This class will be hands-on, inquiry based; the setting will be both outdoors and inside. We will reference the Nature Unleashed (Discover Nature Schools curriculum) throughout the course and cover field experiences and funding available to schools utilizing DNS materials and training.
