Nature Unleashed
Nature Unleashed includes a student book, science notebook, and teacher guide to help elementary students learn about Missouri’s ponds, forests and prairies.
This is a virtual training which will use endangered species as a topic to introduce teachers to the Discover Nature Schools program. Information about the MDC Teacher Portal will also be covered.
An outdoor classroom is just as valuable as any space indoors if utilized correctly. Join Jeff Cantrell, Conservation Education as he walks through the basics and set up of a couple learning stations supporting the Discover Nature Schools (DNS)curriculum. The virtual training will cover Nature Unleashed activities suitable for a glade garden, butterfly area and tree id trail. Primary starter information will include the grant's funding for learning stations, suitable plants for a schoolyard and some student entry ideas for science notebook instruction.
