Nature Unhooked helps middle school students understand, appreciate, and conserve Missouri’s waters. Students continue their knowledge about ecosystems from the Nature Unleashed unit by learning what constitutes ecological “health” and how it can be measured or observed. Each chapter has different activities that help students understand ecological concepts through direct contact with the natural world. After an introduction to the chapter, students explore the main ideas through hands-on demonstrations, videos, or games that model concepts.
