This Discover Nature Schools (DNS) Program, Nature Revealed, is written for preschool students. It includes engaging, hands-on outdoor learning that focuses on Missouri's flora, fauna and ecosystems. It encourages discovery and a child's natural sense of wonder. It has already been correlated to both the Missouri Project Construct and the Missouri Early Learning Goals and is designed to work with teacher's needs to provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences. During the training, teachers will become familiar with the teacher's guide and the online Teacher Portal.

Nature Revealed is the pre-kindergarten instructional unit in the Discover Nature Schools series from the Missouri Department of Conservation.

This is a virtual professional development workshop. It consists of a 90 minute presentation to introduce important facets of the DNS Nature Revealed unit: Organization of the teacher guide including cross-referenced appendices, best practices in leading nature experiences in early childhood, connections to learning goals, seasonal arrangement of experiences, construction and use of developmentally appropriate science notebooks, and prep and use of manipulatives including puzzles and story board characters.
