Discover Nature Schools: Nature Revealed teacher training for Niles Prep Behavioral Management School.

The Discover Nature School (DNS) unit Nature Revealed is for Pre-K. It includes hands-on, outdoor learning activities that focus on seasonal changes and make learning fun by engaging children's natural curiosity as well as creativity.  Through outdoor learning opportunities children have be known to improve their physical and mental health and have reduced behavioral issues.

During the training, educators will become familiar with DNS and the teacher's guide in addition to experiencing the outdoor learning activities for themselves.

Rachel Carson believes that by making discovery fun, we stimulate the children’s natural sense of wonder.   With our preschool curriculum, Nature Revealed,  this can be accomplished along with meeting  Missouri’s Early Learning Goals. Our curriculum is based on the five basic principles of Project Construct while also engaging the family with the fun and age-appropriate activities designed to get the kids outside and experiencing nature.

Welcome to Discover Nature Schools (DNS)! As your local Education Consultant, I will share with you all the amazing benefits of introducing our different outdoor-ecology based curriculum units to your students, including an introduction to the grant opportunties available such as funding for classroom equipment and travel reimbursement. We will also be conducting a few activities outside to bring this curriculum to life, so please be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing for the outdoors.
