This DNS training is ONLY for MSSU Elementary Science Methods course with Dr. Laura Schisler.

We will have all elementary (1-6) and a mix of SPED, ELL, and Early Childhood specialties within that elementary umbrella. We currently have 16 enrolled.  Class is held Tuesdays/Thursdays from 9:30-10:45 in Taylor Hall, room 217 (same as last semester).

Day 1: August 28th - DNS Overview, Teacher Portal  

Day 2: September 4th- DNS unit training  

Day 3: September 9th- DNS unit training

This training will be held in the Carl Junction Instructional Services Building or the old K-1 North Building.  

This Discover Nature School (DNS) program First Grade: Exploring Missouri is designed specifically for First Grade students. This curriculum is aligned to all Missouri Learning Science (MLS) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) including the four components of Earth and Space Science, Physical Science, Life Science and Engineering and Technology Science.

DNS Kindergarten

This Discover Nature School (DNS) program Kindergarten: Bears Through the Season is designed specifically for Kindergarten students. This curriculum is aligned to all Missouri Learning Science (MLS) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) including the four components of Earth and Space Science, Physical Science, Life Science and Engineering and Technology Science.  

This teacher workshop is open to all Missouri teachers, but space is limited! Please contact Andy Rhodes at the email address below if you are NOT a Carthage R-IX classroom teacher for registration details!  This session will be held at Mark Twain Elementary 1435 S Main St, Carthage, MO 64836 from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
