Nature Unleashed includes a student book, science notebook, and teacher guide to help elementary students learn about Missouri’s ponds, forests and prairies.

Help your students discover what's outside by collecting data and observations of our Missouri ecology of different ecosystems such as prairies, forests and ponds, food chain interactions within those different ecosystems, organism adaptations, and so much much more - either through virtual means or by in-person interactions. All of this is right at your fingertips with our Discover Nature Schools Unleashed Unit designed for 3rd grade to 5th grade students - free to all Missouri teachers.
The Discover Nature Schools program, Nature Unleashed, is a program designed to allow elementary students hands-on interactions and understanding of Missouri habitats, food webs, predator/prey relationships, and adaptations. Not only does the program meet the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Missouri Learning Standards, but there are also big benefits for students. A recent study of the program shows that Nature Unleashed increased the amount of time students spent in activities and field experiences outside the classroom.

Nature Unleashed unit focuses on 3-5th grade and the activities are aligned to the Missouri Learning Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. The unit includes science notebooks and books for the students and a teacher guide.
