Nature Unbound
Nature Unbound includes a student book, science notebook, and teacher guide, to help high school students understand the impact of ecology on Missouri and the world.
This workshop will prepare educators to teach the hands-on, Course Level Expectations-based Unit designed for high school students. This place based curriculum will provide participating teachers a field tested teacher’s guide and classroom copies of a well presented student guide and a science notebook. The grant funding associated with this program will provide at least one field trip and supplies for teaching this unit.
This workshop provides the training required for teachers to use the Nature Unbound instructional unit for high school, which is required to apply for the grant associated with the program.
This Discover Nature School (DNS) program, Nature Unbound, is for high school students. It includes engaging, hands-on outdoor learning that focuses on wildlife management, ecology, adaptations, populations, interactions, and biodiversity. It has already been correlated to both the Missouri Learning Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards and are designed to work with teacher's needs and existing curriculums. Additionally, learning outdoors improves student physical and mental health and reduces behavioral issues.

Discover Nature Schools (DNS) is a hands-on science/conservation education program for K-12 Students. This workshop will cover the Nature Unbound highschool-level unit including use of the teacher guide, engaging student books, and field investigations that emphasize understanding, protecting, enhancing, and managing the biological diversity of Missouri's ecosystems utilizing science practices correlated with current curriculum standards. Dress prepared for sections of this workshop which will take place outdoors.
