Nature Unbound includes a student book, science notebook, and teacher guide, to help high school students understand the impact of ecology on Missouri and the world.

Hello,

My name is Jenns Stiek and I work for the Missouri Department of Conservation as the Conservation Educator for Boone County .

My role is to garner passion for science, conservation and the outdoors through a variety of experiential and inquiry-based methods. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) wants to make sure our Missouri teachers are supported in every way possible when it comes to exposing students to what Missouri nature has to offer.

Nature Unbound is geared for Missouri High School Teachers who are looking to engage their students by incorporating information relevant to Missouri habitats into their Biology/Ecology/Conservation Courses. This training will include an assessment of outdoor spaces for field experiences, utilization of science notebooks for data collection, practice with science tools and resources, student management tips and techniques, and the development of a natural resource management plan as a culminating project.

NEW DATE TBD.
