Workshop covering the school district's summer school goals - "Success by Six", nature experiences for young children emphasizing feelings rather than knowledge. These experiences are then building blocks for high skills and learning. Activities from Nature Revealed designed to make learning fun and to stimulate the sense of wonder.
This Discover Nature School (DNS) program, Nature Revealed, is a curriculum designed for preschool students and includes engaging, hands-on outdoor learning divided into 4 seasonal units. This curriculum focuses on Missouri’s flora, fauna, and ecosystems, which can be separated by 20 different themes such as mammals, insects, trees and forests, birds, energy, and weather. It encourages discovery and a child’s natural sense of wonder.

Nature Revealed is the pre-kindergarten instructional unit in the Discover Nature Schools series from the Missouri Department of Conservation. Hands-on experiences in nature help Missouri's children become conservationists for life. The core of Nature Revealed is a rich, diverse collection of developmentally appropriate learning experiences keyed to specific learning centers that will help young learners discover the connections between nature and everyday living. The activities are arranged by season and may be conducted in their entirety or coordinated with other curriculum.
