This program is offered to Missouri Educators who would like more training on shotgun shooting fundamentals included in the Hunter Education student curriculum. Educators will have the opportunity to shoot and master the crossing, quartering away, overhead, rising shot as well as shooting different types of shotguns.
Educators who participate in this course, will have the opportunities available to them for advanced instruction.
To register you must have one of the following:

This workshop is to train and certify Missouri teachers who want to teach the Hunter Education (HED) Course in their classrooms.

Bring hands-on fishing education to your students while gaining firsthand experience on one of Missouri’s most dynamic ecosystems.
During this professional development training, educators will be introduced to the Discover Nature Fishing curriculum and learn how to confidently teach fishing skills, aquatic stewardship, and conservation ethics to their students. Participants will explore lesson structure, teaching strategies, and ways to safely and effectively conduct fishing activities with youth while meeting Missouri Learning Standards.

During this training, educators will be guided through the Nature Unhooked curriculum for grades 6–8, gaining the knowledge and confidence to implement hands-on, inquiry-based lessons aligned with Missouri Learning Standards and NGSS. Participants will receive curriculum materials and learn how to incorporate outdoor learning, student investigations, and project-based experiences into their classrooms.
The Hybrid Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) training is for teachers who wish to teach Missouri's National Archery in the Schools Program (MoNASP). Participants must complete the online portion and pass the online exam prior to attending this in-person portion of training. Registration is limited to 8 people. Once registered an e-mail will be sent with the link to the online portion of the program. Participants must attend the entire session to become certified.
The Discover Nature Schools, Nature Unhooked, is a program for 6th-8th grade teachers. This hands-on, inquiry-based teacher workshop will be an engaging foundation for the Nature Unhooked lessons. The materials are aligned to the Missouri Learning Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards. We will discover the local aquatic life and their importance to people and natural communities.
