Nature Revealed is a diverse collection of learning experiences that help young students discover the relationship between nature and everyday living. Nature Revealed focuses on hands-on learning with field trip ideas and seasonal activities that will get your preschoolers outside and in nature throughout the year.
The teacher guide meets state early learning goals and both teachers and parents can use the activities to stimulate children's sense of wonder of nature.
Candidates must have successfully completed Missouri Hunter Education as a student prior to the instructor training. If you need to take HED or look up your HED number, visit MDC’s Hunter Education page Here: Hunter Education | Missouri Department of Conservation.
Nature Unhooked Student Book features illustrations and activities that help middle school students (grades 6-8) understand, appreciate, and conserve Missouri’s waters. Detailed lessons in the Nature Unhooked Teacher Guide engage students in exploring the properties and effects of water in the environment, interactions in aquatic ecosystems, and the importance of practicing conservation.
Discover Nature — Fishing (DNF) engages students in conservation and aquatic education through classroom instruction and hands-on fishing opportunities.
This program helps students gain the skills and confidence to go fishing on their own. Participants learn about aquatic ecology, fish habitat, and fish identification. They also learn about fishing equipment, casting, rigging a fishing rod, baiting a hook, and proper fish handling.
