Nature Revealed
Nature Revealed includes a teacher guide and cut-out images and puzzles to give Pre-K teachers and parents the planning tools, activities and resources to stimulate children's natural sense of wonder in nearby nature.
This workshop is for Pate Early Childhood center staff ONLY! Nature Revealed is a diverse collection of learning experiences that help young students discover the relationship between nature and everyday living. Nature Revealed focuses on hands-on learning with field trip ideas and seasonal activities that will get your preschoolers outside and in nature throughout the year.
The teacher guide meets state early learning goals and both teachers and parents can use the activities to stimulate children's sense of wonder of nature.
This Discover Nature School (DNS) program, Nature Revealed, is a curriculum designed for preschool students and includes engaging, hands-on outdoor learning divided into 4 seasonal units. This curriculum focuses on Missouri’s flora, fauna, and ecosystems, which can be separated by 20 different themes such as mammals, insects, trees and forests, birds, energy, and weather. It encourages discovery and a child’s natural sense of wonder.
I will be training Jessen on Nature Revealed & the Kindergarten Bears Unit. She teaches Pre-K and Kindergarten both at her school.

This workshop covers organization of the teacher guide including cross-referenced appendices, best practices in leading nature experiences in early childhood, connections to learning goals, seasonal arrangement of experiences, construction and use of developmentally appropriate science notebooks, and prep and use of manipulatives.
