  • Base layer – the clothes you wear next to your skin (Lesson 5D) 
  • Calendar – a tool to mark the passing of time, marked in days, weeks, months, and years (Lesson 5B) 
  • Cloud – made of water droplets and icy crystals (Lesson 5A) 
  • Cycle – a circle of events that repeats in a regular pattern (like seasons) 
  • Forecast – future weather predications based on weather patterns (Lesson 5B) 
  • Hibernate – to pass the winter in a resting state (Lesson 5C) 
  • Insulate (ion) – to hold heat in, keep separate (Lesson 5D) 
  • Migrate – move from one place to another at certain times of the year (Lesson 5C) 
  • Nature’s Timing – the study of reoccurring natural events over time (seasonal based) (Lesson 5C) 
  • Precipitation – liquid and solid water falling from clouds (rain and snow and all the variations) (Lesson 5A) 
  • Shell (outer layer) – the last layer of clothes you wear, these keep the wind and rain out (Lesson 5D) 
  • Thermometer – the tool to measure the temperature; how hot or cool it is (Lesson 5B)
