Hunter Education
Candidates must have successfully completed Missouri Hunter Education as a student prior to the instructor training. If you need to take HED or look up your HED number, visit MDC’s Hunter Education page Here: Hunter Education | Missouri Department of Conservation.
All Hunter Education Instructors in Missouri are staff volunteers with MDC and must submit a Volunteer Application and Background Check form. These documents may be obtained from and submitted to your local Conservation Educator. Volunteer instructors must also complete an interview prior to attending the training. After initially training, new instructors must view an inperson skills session which is 4 hours.
All Missouri HED Instructors are required to sign work agreements each year and report time worked on the HED Program within 30 days.
Thank you for your interest in Missouri Hunter Education.
