Nature Unfolds

The Discover Nature Schools program, Nature Unfolds (K-2), is a program designed for students to learn about seasons, weather, life cycles, and parent/offspring relationships. The Nature Unfolds program meets the DESE Missouri Learning Standards, & students learning outdoors can help improve student physical and mental health and reduces attention-deficit problems.

The program includes the following items “FREE” for Missouri Teachers:

  • Full-color, illustrated books for each student: See How the Turkey Grows (Preview available on Teacher Portal)
  • Science notebook for each student
  • Teacher guides filled with outdoor activities and lesson plans, that follow the MLS & NGSS guidelines (Preview available on Teacher Portal)
  • Non-competitive grants for field experiences and exploration equipment for your classroom

We will spend half of the day inside learning and the other half out exploring and discussing field experiences. Wear clothes and shoes to go outside. Bring sunscreen and bug spray if you would like.
