Join us to illuminate a few of the unique characteristics that make these creatures interesting. In addition, we will explore collecting techniques, identification, habitats, and dilemmas facing these small and vital animals of Missouri. Take away hands-on and inquiry-based strategies and activities to incorporate the world of insects into your curriculum!
Multiple field trips will be included in the workshop with transportation provided by MDC staff. Be prepared for long evenings as we will set-up black-light stations to sample nocturnal insects. Participants will collecting, pinning and creating their own insect collection.

Lodging will not be provided. Please bring money for meals.
