Nature Unleashed

An outdoor classroom is just as valuable as any space indoors if utilized correctly. Join Jeff Cantrell, Conservation Education as he walks through the basics and set up of a couple learning stations supporting the Discover Nature Schools (DNS)curriculum. The virtual training will cover Nature Unleashed activities suitable for a glade garden, butterfly area and tree id trail. Primary starter information will include the grant's funding for learning stations, suitable plants for a schoolyard and some student entry ideas for science notebook instruction. Participants will be contacted prior to the class and instructed on what free materials they may order for the workshop.

Nature Unleashed is a state standard aligned program featuring Missouri's habitats, plant and animal adaptations and interactions. Topics in nature make learning engaging and fun. Hands-on and inquiry-based are the foundation blocks of this instruction. Educators appreciate the flow of the teacher guide, and the full color student books and blank science notebooks provided for each youth.
