Teacher Tuesday: Discover Nature's Studio
This engaging Teacher Tuesday Workshop equips educators with practical strategies for integrating nature-based art into their curriculum to support both creative learning and student well-being.
Participants will explore how to use natural materials and outdoor environments as meaningful extensions of the classroom. Through hands-on experiences and lesson design time, teachers will learn how creating art with nature, in nature, and about nature can:
- Improve student behavior and focus
- Strengthen emotional regulation and resilience
- Promote positive learning attitudes
- Support physical health through movement and sensory engagement
- Reduce stress and enhance mental well-being
Grounded in research on nature-connected learning and whole-child development, this workshop provides ready-to-implement lesson ideas, outdoor classroom management strategies, and adaptable approaches for diverse school settings.
Educators will leave with practical tools to increase engagement, foster calm and creativity, and transform everyday outdoor spaces into powerful learning environments.
Graduate credit may be available.
